Annabel is no stranger to making houses feel like home! After clocking up just one move in the first 18 years of her life, Annabel has since moved 15 times, including two international relocations.
Annabel combines her trained designer’s eye with meticulous project management and has gained invaluable staging skills from Liv Conlon, Young Entrepreneur of the Year and founder of StagerBoss. At work, Annabel enjoys collaboration, problem solving, and delighting her clients.
At home, Annabel is an RAF spouse, holding the fort while her husband serves in His Majesty Armed Forces. As well as raising two fab teenagers, Annabel enjoys grabbing a spare minute or two for yoga and singing in her local Military Wives Choir.
The lamp that sparked a business
An emotional response to a well-presented property cannot be underestimated; this is a story of one lamp that changed not one, but two lives.
“When the company my father worked for moved their headquarters from New York City to Connecticut our family moved too. My mom walked through many homes for sale but when she walked into this particular home she was really taken with how all the furniture was arranged. Not only did my parents buy the show home – but all the furniture in it too! The lamp (my mom’s favorite) traveled with my parents through six more moves.” Joan A
Joan and her husband became close friends with Annabel’s family during their five-year posting to America with the RAF. Annabel adds:
“When Joan was clearing out her parent’s final apartment I was instantly drawn to the fish lamp base, destined for a thrift store. The lamp is now cherished across The Pond in Lincoln, England, where it continues to inspire my business.”
